Z Warp

I recommend Z-Warp, a bit-sized shoot-em-up. Its brevity and approachability motivated me to clear the hardest difficulty and play the endless mode for a high score. While not the best-designed game in the bullet-hell genre, even among the beginner-friendly entries, I imagine it teaches the fundamentals well.
